Game mechanics

How each variant works.

Classic

Standard dominoes — think fast, play smart, and rack up points.

Duration

Best of 3 rounds · time limit (5 minutes)

How to play

  1. 1 You and your opponent each play the same game independently against the same machine/CPU.
  2. 2 Win the match by winning 2 of the 3 rounds.
  3. 3 The match ends when all 3 rounds are played, when a player exceeds 50 points, or when time runs out — whichever comes first.
  4. 4 If time runs out before all rounds finish, your score at that point is compared to your opponent's to determine the winner.

Scoring

Domino (all tiles placed)

25 pts + the sum of your opponent's remaining tile values ÷ 10

Blocked board (no moves left)

If no moves are left, the player with fewer remaining tile points wins the round. The winner earns: 30 pts + (opponent's total remaining tile value ÷ 10).

Round bonus

+200 pts per round won · −100 pts per round lost

Tile & time bonuses

+1 pt per tile played on the board · +1 pt per second left on the timer

Perfect win bonus

+1,000 pts for winning a round with 50 or more points.

Tiebreaker

If both players finish with equal scores, the player who started the match first wins.

Dominoes All Fives

Score by making open ends add up to multiples of five.

Duration

Up to 7 minutes · no round limit

How to play

  1. 1 You and your opponent each play the same game independently against the same machine (CPU).
  2. 2 The player with the highest double tile starts first.
  3. 3 You score points whenever the open ends of all tiles on the board sum to a multiple of 5 — 5 pts for 5, 10 pts for 10, 15 pts for 15, and so on. The round winner starts the next round and can open with any tile. If the first tile sums to a multiple of five, you keep those points.
  4. 4 If you lay all your tiles on the table (domino), you earn the sum of your opponent's remaining tile points, rounded to the nearest multiple of 5.
  5. 5 Doubles count both sides toward the total — a 6:6 adds 12, a 5:5 adds 10, and so on.
  6. 6 Only the first double played can open new branches. Maximum 4 branches on the board at any time.

Tiebreaker

If both players finish with equal scores, the player who started the match first wins.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I play against a real person?

Yes, but not simultaneously. Each of you plays the same game (same tiles) independently against the CPU. At the end of the match, scores are compared and a winner is determined — your skill, speed, and decisions determine the result, not luck.

What happens when the board is blocked?

If neither you nor the CPU can keep placing tiles, the board is blocked and the round ends immediately. The player with fewer remaining tile points wins that round.

What happens if time runs out?

The match ends automatically at the 5- or 7-minute mark, depending on the variant — even if not all rounds are complete. Your score at that moment is compared to your opponent's.

What is the tiebreaker?

If both players finish with the same score, the player who started the match first is declared the winner.
